Litany of Social Media

O Jesus, meek and humble of heart,
Hear me.
From the desire of receiving likes,
Deliver me, O Jesus.
From the desire of being considered influential,
Deliver me, O Jesus.
From the desire of gaining followers through my looks,
Deliver me, O Jesus.
From the desire of not following someone back who does not follow me,
Deliver me, O Jesus.
From the fear of not posting because of how I think others will view it,
Deliver me, O Jesus.
From the fear of losing followers,
Deliver me, O Jesus.
From the fear of not being seen in the right light,
Deliver me, O Jesus.
From the fear of being found boring,
Deliver me, O Jesus.
From the fear of being forgotten,
Deliver me, O Jesus.
From the fear of being seen insignificant,
Deliver me, O Jesus.
From the fear of comparison,
Deliver me, O Jesus.
That I want to pray more than scroll,
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
That I trust that my worth is not defined by social media,
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
That social media never gets in the way of me being a saint,
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
That social media is never used as more than a tool,
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
That I never let social media lead me to sin,
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
That I trust your opinion of me above anyone else's,
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
Amen.
